SMYRNA - Salvador Sanchez, Jr. passed away Saturday, Aug. 1, 2015 in Seasons Hospice at Christiana Care, in Newark. Salvador was born April 4, 1951 in Aquadilla, Puerto Rico to Salvador Sanchez, Sr., and Esther Perez Medina Sanchez. Mr. Sanchez served in the United States Marine. He was a supervisor at Sieman's Healthcare Diagnostics in Newark. He was a member of the Calvary Assembly of God Church in Dover. Salvador is survived by his wife of 24 years, Alice Santiago Sanchez; daughters, Veronica, Vanessa and Jasmine Sanchez all of Puerto Rico, and Nicole Sanchez of Smyrna; mother, Esther Sanchez of Wauwatosa, Wis.; brothers, Jesus Sanchez of Bronx, N.Y., and Heriberto Sanchez of Nashville, Tenn.; sisters Anna Sanchez of Milwaukee, Wis., Evelyn Sanchez of Orlando, Fla., and Rosemarie Sanchez of Clearwater, Fla.; and six grandchildren. In addition to his father, he was preceded in death by his daughter, Tabitha in 2013. Funeral services will be held at Thursday, Aug. 6th at 10 a.m. at the Calvary Assembly of God Church, 1141 E. Lebanon Road (Rt.10), Dover. Friends may call from 5-7 p.m on Wednesday night at the Church. Interment will be in Rosehill Cemetery, Linden, N.J. In lieu of flowers the family suggests contributions be made to Make a Wish foundation, Gift Processing Center, PO Box 6062, Albert Lea, Minn. 56007-6662. Letters of condolence may be sent, and guestbook signed at torbertfuneral.com.
