She was the daughter of the late Robert and Mamie Ballard was born Oct. 1, 1911, in Amherst, Va.
Sally joined her family in accepting Jesus Christ as her Lord and Savior at the Piney Grove Baptist Church in Amherst.
She continued in her faith when she became a member of St. Paul's United Methodist Church in Milford.
Sally attended the public schools of Amherst County in Virginia.
She later moved to Sewickley, Pa., then Philadelphia, where she met and married Amos J. Bell.
They later moved to Milford, where she and her husband raised one son, Harry H. Bell.
For many years, Sally worked as a home domestic and caregiver for her family.
