SNOW HILL, Md. - Ryan Dorrell "Young Rell" Mason died Thursday, July 26, 2007, in Peninsula Regional Medical Center, Salisbury. He was 21.

Born in Salisbury, Ryan was the son of Timothy Wayne Simms of Frankford, Del., and Crystal Mason Fountain of Snow Hill, and the stepson of Sabrina Simms and Michael Fountain.

He was a 2004 graduate of Snow Hill High School, where he participated on the football team.

Following graduation, Ryan joined Job Corps. At the time of his death he was employed with Cain Masonry, and was formerly employed with Lifetime Masonry, both of Salisbury.

He was a member of St. Matthew"s United Methodist Church in Box Iron, near Snow Hill, where he was a former member of the youth choir.

Besides his parents, Ryan"s survivors include two sisters, Tiara Simms of Snow Hill, and Terkisha Simms of Whaleysville; his maternal grandparents, George and Gertrude Mason of Snow Hill; his paternal grandmother, Mabel Scott of Fredrick; his maternal great-grandmother, Lillian Bishop of Snow Hill; two special friends, Kendra Schultz of Salisbury, and John Bose of Snow Hill; one niece, Jordyn D. Simms; three aunts, five uncles, five great-aunts and two great-uncles; and a host of cousins and friends.

Friends may call Friday from 6 to 8 p.m. in St. Matthew"s United Methodist Church, near Snow Hill. A funeral service will be noon Saturday in Snow Hill High School, where friends may call one hour prior. Interment will be in St. James A.M.E. Church Cemetery, Taylors Gate, near Snow Hill.

Services are entrusted to Jolley Memorial Chapel, Salisbury.
