Ruth M. (McCauley) Melson, 92 DOVER - Ruth M. (McCauley) Melson, formerly of Bridgeville, passed away peacefully on Friday, Aug. 14, 2009, at Courtland Manor Nursing Home, Dover. She was born April 10, 1917 in Bridgeville, daughter of the late Charles and Fanny (Records) McCauley. Mrs. Melson was a homemaker and business partner in Melson Construction Co. She enjoyed cooking, reading, playing cards and spending time with her family. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband Donald L. Melson (April 1989), a son Donald L. Melson, Jr. and his spouse Martha Melson (2008). She is survived by a son Richard L. Melson of Bridgeville and a daughter Ruth Ann Melson of Dover with whom she lived for many years; five grandchildren; four great-grandchildren; and two great-great-grandchildren. Funeral services with Pastor Dale Brown officiating will be held Tuesday, August 18, 2009, 11 a.m., at Parsell Funeral Homes & Crematorium, Hardesty Chapel, 202 Laws Street, Bridgeville, DE. Friends may pay their respects at the funeral home beginning at 10 a.m. Interment will be at Bridgeville Cemetery.
