DOVER - Ruth L. Shamblin, of Dover, died Monday, Feb. 13, 2012, at home. She was 61. Mrs. Shamblin was born March 1, 1950, in Balitmore, to the late Leroy Jacobs and Frances Jacobs. She was a homemaker and enjoyed ceramics, cooking, and spending time with her granddaughter. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Romie W. Shamblin Jr. in 2003. She is survived by her daughter, Christina Shamblin of Dover and son- in-law, Alberto Cortes of Dover; son, Shannon Shamblin of Hartly; sister, Joan Nicholas of Maryland; brother, Norman Nicholas of Maryland; and grandchild, Cameron Cortes.
