Ruth J. Knotts

SMYRNA - Ruth J. Knotts passed away on Saturday, Jan. 20, 2018 at the Silver Lake Center in Dover.
Mrs. Knotts was born on Sept. 15, 1931 in Smyrna, the daughter of the late Harry and Gladys Johnson.
She was an avid Organist and Pianist, who was known for her talented playing. She was the former Organist of Asbury United Methodist Church, First Presbyterian Church, St. Peters Episcopal Church, Cheswold United Methodist Church, and Friendship United Methodist Church.
Ruth enjoyed sailing and was a member of the Annapolis Navel Sailing Association.
She was preceded in death by her late husband, Donald A. Knotts.
A funeral service will be held on Thursday, Jan. 25, 2018 at 12 p.m. at St. Peters Episcopal Church, located at 22 North Union Street in Smyrna. A celebration of her life with refreshments will be held in the fellowship hall of the church after the funeral services. Burial will be privately held at Odd Fellows Cemetery in Smyrna.
In lieu of flowers, donations in Ruth's memory may be made to St. Peters Episcopal Church, 22 North Union Street, Smyrna, DE 19977.
