Baker Steele, 77 DOVER - Ruth E. Townson Baker Steele passed away Tuesday, May 28, 2013 in the Capital Nursing Home. Ruth was born on July 29, 1935 in Henderson Md. to the late Joseph and Mae Steele. She had 25 years of service working at Kraft Foods and was a former member of the Camden-Wyoming Moose. Ruth enjoyed spending time with her family and vacationing with family in Virginia. She also enjoyed music, especially Elvis and would dance with or without you. She will be greatly missed and always loved. Ruth is preceded in death by siblings Amos Jones and his wife Shirley, Joseph Steele, Esther Burlingame, Alta Wingard, Clara Camper, Mary Hurd, Robert Steele and Emma Steele. She is survived by two daughters Victoria Townson and Patrina Thompson and Patrina's significant other Paul Kenney, Sr.; two grandchildren Laurene Thompson and Daniel Thompson; three sisters Anna Mae Durham, Edna Pfieffer and Alice Lucks; and several nieces, nephews; and her cat Samantha. Service will be 1 p.m. Saturday, June 1, 2013 at the Pippin Funeral Home, 119 W. Camden-Wyoming Ave., Wyoming, where visitation will be two hours earlier. Burial will follow in Sharon Hills Memorial Park, Dover. Flowers are appreciated, but for those who wish donations can be sent to Delaware 4-H Foundation, University of Delaware, 120 Townsend Hall, Newark, DE 19717.
