Ruth E. Swasing, 98

DOVER - Ruth E. Swasing, formerly of Coalport, Pa., died Tuesday, Oct. 21, 2008, in Kent General Hospital. She was 98. Mrs. Swasing was born Oct. 2, 1910 in Irvona, Pa., to the late Mack Fegan and Susan Flick Fegan. She attended the Coalport Christian and Missionary Alliance Church. Besides her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, George on March 1, 1976; two sons, Gary and Don; four sisters, Ethel Boyer, Hazel Bloom, Thelma Kelso and Wilmenia Rosenberg; and six brothers, Ruben, Merle, Ulysses, Lawrence, Theodore and Marenda. Mrs. Swasing is survived by three children, George and his wife Charlotte, of Coalport, Sandra Jean Wills and her husband Duane, of Dover, and Terry and his wife Cathy of Coalport; nine grandchildren; 11 great-grandchildren; a great-great-grandson; and a brother, Albert of Ohio. Funeral services were held in Coalport, Pa.
