Ruth E. Randall, 90

DOVER - Ruth E. Randall, of Dover, went home peacefully to be with the Lord on Saturday, Nov. 24, 2007. She was 90.

She was born June 23,1917, in Worcester, Mass., to the late Waverly Taylor and Florence Moore Taylor Terry.

Ruth received her formal education in the Massaschusetts public school system.

Her academic achievements won her a scholarship to an all-girls college in Worcester.

Ruth moved to Philadelphia and later married Roland B. Randall.

They had one son, Warren A. Randall.

Ruth held various positions with the state and government throughout the years.

She retired from the West Philadelphia school system.

Ruth and her husband moved to Dover in 1985.

She and her husband were very active campers, for they traveled all over the U.S.

Upon moving to Dover, she was an active church member.

She was a volunteer tutor with children for various school programs.

Ruth was a volunteer at the Dover library, she won several awards for her volunteerism.

Ruth loved music, movies, arts and literature.

She was a loving and very caring person.

Ruth was preceded in death by her husband of 45 years, Roland B. Randall.

She is survived by one son, Warren A. Randall of Dover; and a host of nieces, nephews, cousins, friends and the Calvary and Whatcoat church family and friends.

Services and burial were held privately.

Arrangements by Bennie Smith Funeral Home, 717 W. Division St., Dover.
