MILLSBORO - Ruth (Comegys) Czebotari, formerly of Millsboro and Seaford, died at Forbes Hospice, Pittsburgh, Sunday, Sept. 9, 2007. She was 78.
Born Sept. 16, 1928, in Dover, she was the daughter of the late Caesar Rodney and Pauline (Sowada) Comegys.
Mrs. Czebotari was a graduate of the Memorial Hospital School of Nursing, Wilmington.
She was a nurse at Bayhealth-Kent General Hospital and later in her husband"s office in Millsboro.
Mrs. Czebotari was a former member of the Sussex County Choral Society Auxiliary and the Spade and Trowel Garden Club, Seaford.
She volunteered at the Nanticoke Memorial Hospital and the Methodist Manor House.
Mrs. Czebotari was an active member of St. John"s United Methodist Church, Seaford.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Dr. Alexander L. Czebotari.
She is survived by two daughters, Christine Coon of Wilmington, and Eve Ferraro and her husband Dr. Francis T. of Pittsburgh; her brother, Walter Comegys and his wife Beverly of Delaware City; and four grandchildren, Meredith Coon, Emily Coon, Alex Ferraro and Anthony Ferraro.
Funeral services will be 1:30 p.m. Wednesday at Grace United Methodist Church, Church and Morris streets, Millsboro.
Burial will be in the Millsboro Cemetery.
Instead of flowers, the family suggests memorial donations to Forbes Hospice, 115 S. Neville St., Pittsburgh, PA 15213.
