Ruth Ann McQuade

FELTON - Ruth Ann McQuade died peacefully at her home on Aug. 14, 2013. Born in Boston, Mass., she was the daughter of the late George and Pearl (Wiggins) Paul. Along with her husband, Ronald McQuade, who preceded her in death in 2010, she was the owner of Coastal Security Agency. Mrs. McQuade was a faithful member of Southside Baptist Church in Dover, she volunteered for Families In Transition (FIT) in Milford, and was also a member of The Council for Exceptional Children. In her quieter moments, Ruth Ann cherished the time with her loving family. She will be greatly missed by those whose lives she touched. Mrs. McQuade is survived by two sons, David Marhefka, of Haverhill, Mass., and Walter Marhefka, Jr., of Wilmington, Del.; three daughters, Lisa Marhefka, of Peloquin, Conn., Cathleen McQuade De France, of Smyrna, and Shelly McQuade Spradlin, of Dover; one sister, Jean Bruce, of Haverhill, Mass.; 33 grandchildren; and seven great-grandchildren. Services and Interment will be private. Friends are invited to a Gathering in Ruth Ann's Memory on Sunday, August 18, 2013 from 2 p.m. until 6 p.m. at 608 Sally Court, Smyrna, DE.
