Russell J. Shockley, 69

FRANKFORD - Russell J. Shockley of Frankford died Thursday, Nov. 16, 2006, in Beebe Medical Center, Lewes. He was 69.

Mr. Shockley was the son of the late George and Mabel Shockley of Bayard.

He was a graduate of Lord Baltimore High School.

Mr. Shockley worked at Cargil/Mountaire as a weigh master for several years.

He was an active member of Roxana Volunteer Fire Co., of which he was very proud.

Mr. Shockley donated his body to the Anatomy Gift Registry, Hanover, Md.

He is survived by a sister, Marion Toomey of Dagsboro; and a sister-in-law, Bessie Shockley of Frankford.

A memorial service will be 2 p.m. Dec. 17 in Roxana Fire Hall.

Instead of flowers, the family suggests memorial contributions to Roxana Volunteer Fire Co., Frankford, DE 19945; or Shriners Hospitals, c/o D. Stephen Parsons, Attorney at Law, P.O. Box 480, Ocean View, DE 19970.
