Rubie Seeney, 85
DOVER - Rubie Seeney passed away Saturday, August 21, 2021 at Kent General Hospital.
Mrs. Seeney was born June 18, 1936, in Bledsoe, Kentucky to the late Henry Whitehead and Purlin Deaton Whitehead.
She had worked at Leeds Travel Wear and had been a foster parent to many children over the years. Mrs. Seeney enjoyed vegetable and flower gardening and canning.
In addition to her parents; she was preceded in death by her husband of 52 years, Walton Seeney; children, Russell Seeney, Roger and Edward Caldwell; and all of her siblings.
She is survived by son, Herb Caldwell of Dover; daughter, Connie Morris of Dover; foster son, Rick Polk of Clayton; brother, Stevie Whitehead; four grandchildren, Abe Caldwell, Kristy Caldwell, Carlos Morris, III and Marcus Morris; special friends, Marie Garrison and David Larimore, and Carol Laine.
Funeral services will be held 12 p.m., Wednesday, September 1, 2021, at Torbert Funeral Chapel South, 1145 E. Lebanon Rd. (RT 10), Dover, Del. Friends may call one-hour prior. Interment will be at Immanuel United Methodist Church in Cheswold.
