Roy H. Sweet

DOVER - Roy H. Sweet passed away Wednesday, July 8, 2015 at Kent General Hospital. Mr. Sweet was born Jan. 20, 1940 in Camden, N.J. to the late Carl H. Sweet and Olive V. Stiles Sweet. He served in the United States Army during the Vietnam War. Mr. Sweet worked for Sartomer Manufacturing in Exton, Pa. for 35 years as a Time Clerk, he also had worked as a security guard for many years. For the last 10 years he worked for Securitas Security Services in Dover until he was called home to be with the Lord. Mr. Sweet was a loving and caring person, he loved to give and make others happy. When you smiled, he smiled and he believed that, was his ministry. He is survived by his wife of 10 years, Cynthia Gueste Sweet of Dover; son, Brian Sweet (Laura) of Parkesburg, Pa.; daughter, Linda Sweet of Newark, Del.; brother, Arthur J. Sweet (Mary Ann) of Washington, W.Va.; sister, Pearl L. Swayne (Samuel) of Yorktown, Va.; grandchildren, Charles, Kathryn, Elizabeth "Libby" and Sara Sweet. A Memorial service will be held 1 p.m., Wednesday, July 15, 2015 at Torbert Funeral Chapel South, 1145 E. Lebanon Road (Rt.10), Dover. Friends may call from 11-1.
