MOT downed Camden-Wyoming, 12-8, on Wednesday night to reach the District I finals in Senior League softball.
The Middletown-area squad is 2-0 and will play again on Saturday at 6 p.m. at Camden-Wyoming with the state title on the line.
Camden-Wyoming (1-1) plays again on Friday at 7 p.m. when it hosts Dover in the losers’ bracket finals.
The two-team state tournament starts on July 11 and is being hosted by New Castle County’s District II.
Camden-Wyoming 11, Smyrna-Clayton 4: Camden-Wyoming won its opener in the tourney to advance to the winners’ bracket finals.

Addison Ferger (3-for-4, 2 runs, 2 RBI), Kadence McFetridge (3-for-4, 1 run, 1 RBI) and Madison Correll (2-for-3, 3 RBI) all paced Camden-Wyoming’s 15-hit attack.
Pitcher Amy Gaddis took the victory after throwing a three-hitter with eight strikeouts.
Dover 12, Smyrna-Clayton 10: Winning pitcher Lily Drago went 3-for-4 with a two-run homer to pace Dover to the losers'-bracket win on Wednesday.
Also leading Dover were Mikaylah Price (2-for-5, 3 runs), Nancy Boyles (3 RBI, 2 runs) and Michaela Neumeister (2-for-3, 2 runs). Dover will play at Camden-Wyoming on Friday at 7 p.m. in the losers'-bracket finals.
Smyrna was led byJordan Fletcher (3-for-4, 3 runs) and Ellie Miller went (2 runs, 1 RBI).
