Roselle B. Poole, 91

ORANGE, Va. - Roselle Bullock Poole of Orange, formerly of Easton, Md. and Federalsburg, Md., passed away on Friday, Nov. 16, 2007, in Orange County Nursing Home. She was 91.

Born Martha Roselle Bullock in Smithville, Md., on Jan. 4, 1916, she was the daughter of James Blaine and Glenna Laura Satterfield Bullock.

She attended grammar schools in Concord and graduated from Federalsburg High School, class of 1933.

On Nov. 25, 1936, she married Henry C. Poole, and they made their home in Federalsburg until 1992 when they retired to Easton in the Londonderry Retirement Community.

After her husband passed away on April 26, 2003, Mrs. Poole made her home in Orange, to be near her son and daughter-in-law.

Mrs. Poole is survived by one son, Thomas H. Poole and wife Marcia of Somerset; one daughter, Linda Poole of Salisbury, Md.; three grandchildren, Michael T. Poole and his wife Stacy of Chesterfield, Jeffrey A. Poole and his wife Sarah and Melissa L. Irby and her husband Daman of Gordonsville; five great-grandsons, Andrew, Benjamin and Daniel Poole and Hayden and Hudson Irby; and several nieces and nephews.

A memorial graveside service will be 11 a.m. Saturday in Hillcrest Cemetery, Federalsburg, with the Rev. Danese Collins officiating.

Instead of flowers, donations may be made to Heifer International, c/o Blue Run Baptist Church, P.O. Box 1 Somerset, VA 22972; or Union Methodist Church, 301 N. Main St., Federalsburg, MD 21632.
