Rosella H. Short

BRIDGEVILLE - Rosella H. Short, of Bridgeville, Del., passed away Thursday, Jan. 20, 2011, at Delaware Hospice Center in Milford, Del. She was born July 14, 1924 in Seaford, Del., daughter of the late Lynn and Dorothy (Moore) Taylor. Mrs. Short enjoyed needle point and cooking Sunday family dinners and watching her favorite television shows. She enjoyed spending time with her family and especially her great grandchildren. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Ernest H. Short (1990); a sister, Mildred Fountain; and brother Marvin Taylor. She is survived by two daughters, Patricia S. Mitchell and Bonnie Parsons and her husband George, all of Seaford, Del.; one grandson, Brent Mitchell and his wife Dawn of Milford, Del.; and two great-grandchildren, Delaney and Trevor Mitchell. Funeral services with Pastor Rick Betts officiating will be held Tuesday, January 25, 2011, at 1:00 P.M., at the Crossroad Community Church, 20684 State Forest Road, Georgetown, DE. Friends may call at the church beginning at 12:00 noon. Interment will be at Bloomery Cemetery, Federalsburg, MD. In lieu of flowers, the family suggests memorial contributions be made to Delaware Hospice, 100 Patriots Way, Milford, DE 19963.
