Roseanne Steele Smith, 58

DENTON, Md. - Roseanne Steele Smith, of Denton, died Wednesday, Aug. 26, 2009, at University of MD Medical Center in Baltimore. She was 58. She was born on Nov. 9, 1950, in Dover, Del., to the late Marshall and Rosetta Steele. Mrs. Smith was a 1969 graduate of Queen Anne County High School. She is a member of St. Paul's United Methodist Church in Ingleside. She is survived by her daughter, Erma Smith and daughter-in-law, Toni Reynolds of Cecilton; son, Michael Smith of Denton; sister, Jenny Hutson of Dover; her companion of 26 years, Benjamin "Benny" Squirer; grandson, Nicolas of Cecilton; two nephews, Thomas Hutson of Dover, and Jonathan Hutson of Harrington, Del. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband George; and two brothers, Billy Steele, and Ricky Steele. Funeral services will be 11 a.m., Saturday, Aug. 29, in Fleegle and Helfenbein Funeral Home, 106 W. Sunset Ave., Greensboro, where friends may call one hour prior. Interment will be in Greensboro Cemetery. Condolences can be sent online via www.fleegleandhelfenbein.com.
