Rose Femia, 86

MILFORD - Rose Femia, 86, of Milford, died Sunday, Sept. 27, 2009, at the Delaware Hospice Center, Milford. Miss Femia was born in Holden, W.Va., the daughter of the late Rocco and Maria Femia. She worked as an accountant for a law firm in Philadelphia for several years. She was a member of St. John the Apostle Catholic Church, Milford, the Milford Garden Club, the Milford Senior Center and was a volunteer at the Milford Library. She loved to garden and to read. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by two sisters, Josephine Gore and Carmen Leonard; and a nephew, Frank Femia, Jr. She is survived by two sisters, Paskie Disco of San Francisco, Calif., and Ann Ziccarelli and her husband Louis of Wilmington; a brother, Frank Femia of Philadelphia; nieces and nephews, Frank and Cynthia, James, Louis, Joe, Catherine, Mary Frances, Thomas, Cathy, Jim, Barbara, Alton, JoAnn, Carla, Theresa and Karen Sue; and grand-nieces and nephews, Sarah, Christopher, Hannah, Michael and Elena. Mass of Christian Burial was celebrated Wednesday, Sept. 30, at St. John the Apostle Catholic Church, 506 Seabury Avenue, Milford. Burial was in Holy Cross Cemetery, Dover. Arr. by Lofland Funeral Home, Milford.
