SUDLERSVILLE, Md. - Ronald "Reggie" or "Ronnie" Satterfield, of Sudlersville, died Tuesday, Sept. 22, 2009, at the Hospice of Queen Anne's, Centreville. He was 66. Mr. Satterfield was born in Chestertown, the son of the late G. Aldrich Satterfield and Lula Thompson Satterfield of Sudlersville. Reggie enjoyed fishing, find-a-word puzzles, watching television and adding to his admirable collection of caps. He enjoyed talking to everyone, and found no one to be a stranger. Reggie was the self-appointed "Sherriff of Sudlersville" and he was very proud of his town and country. He enjoyed policing the town park and was sure when he became unable to do so, it became a burden on the county to take over his job. Ronald was a member of the Calvary-Asbury United Methodist church, in Sudlersville. In addition to his mother, he is survived by a brother, William "Billy" Satterfield of Sudlersville; and by many nieces and nephews and family friends. He was also preceded in death by a brother, Charles A. Satterfield. Funeral services will be 11 a.m., Friday, Sept. 25, in the Calvary-Asbury United Methodist Church, Sudlersville, where friends and family may call after 10 a.m. Interment will follow in the Sudlersville Cemetery, Sudlersville. Arrangements by the Fellows Helfenbein & Newnam Funeral Home, Millington.
