SMYRNA, Del. - Ronald A. 'Heavy Dog' Carroll, passed away peacefully in the comfort of his own home on Wednesday, May 9, 2012. Mr. Carroll was the son of the late Calvin G. and Helen Carroll and was raised by his Aunt Beck and Uncle Frank. He was a hard working man, as well as a dedicated husband, father and grandfather. Mr. Carroll is survived by his loving wife of 42 years, Julia C. (White) Carroll; four children, Tracy, Ronnie and his wife, Linda, Walt and his wife, Angie and Rose and her husband, Robert; eight grandchildren, Ronnie IV, Cathy, Taylor, Madison, Kaitlyn, Joshua, Matthew and Dylan; four sisters, Helen, Brenda, Patti and Terri; three brothers, Jimmy, Mike and George and two very dear and close friends, Will and Joan Patterson and a special nephew, Scotty Hadaway. Funeral services will be held 7 p.m. on Monday, May 14, 2012, at Daniels & Hutchison Funeral Home LLC, 212 N. Broad Street in Middletown, DE, where friends may visit with his family one hour prior to service. Interment will be private.
