Roland Leroy 'Buster' Brown, 53

DOVER - Roland Leroy "Buster" Brown, formerly of Dover, died on Wednesday, Jan. 30, 2008, in the Seaford Center–Genesis Healthcare, following a short illness. He was 53.

Buster was born April 23, 1954, to the late Stanton Brown and Pearl Brown.

He was employed at ClientLogic in Dover, following various temporary positions in Dover.

Buster enjoyed reading the newspaper, playing pool, playing cards and was an avid lover of football.

His passion was his love of Dallas Cowboys and his love for baseball.

He was preceded in death by his father, Stanton Brown Sr. in 1975; and his fiancé, Serethia Rivers on June 30, 2006.

Buster is survived by two sons, Roland Jr. of Gary, Ind., and Roland Brown II of Dover; a grandchild; a daughter; his mother, Pearl F. Brown; three brothers, Stanton Brown Jr. and his wife Eleanor of Felton, Donald Brown of Dover and Michael Brown of Felton; five sisters, Barbara Rodgers of Gary, Jeanette Brown of Dover, Maryann Brown of Felton, Doris Goicuria and her husband Tony Goicuria of Dover and Diana Brown of Philadelphia; a host of nieces, nephews and cousins; his caregivers, Robert Cook and family, of whom Buster's family is very appreciative; and a host of friends.

Funeral services will be 1 p.m. Wednesday at the Solid Rock Baptist Church, West Street, Dover, where friends may call two hours prior to the service.

Interment will be in the Barratt's Chapel Cemetery, Frederica.

Arrangements are being handled by Bennie Smith Funeral Home, Dover.
