Rodney Lee Steele, 39

CAMP HILL, Pa. - Rodney Lee Steele, of Camp Hill, formerly of Chestertown, Md., died Sunday, Jan. 7, 2007, after receiving life-threatening injuries from a car accident near his home. He was 39.

Mr. Steele was born July 15, 1967, son of Jacqueline E. Steele-Black and the late Robert L. Steele.

He received his education from the Kent County, Md., school system and discovered an interest in culinary arts.

For years, he enjoyed cooking and found employment at Damion"s Grill.

Mr. Steele loved doing things to lift up others and most of all, unconditionally loved his family. He left a great impression on everyone he met and was loved by many. Even through hardship, he did not give up because he knew God would bring him out. He will always be loved so much by so many and he will never be forgotten.

He is survived by his mother, Jacqueline E. Steele-Black of Chestertown; a "special" father, Antone Black; a grandfather, Edward Clark; a daughter, Tavonya Steele; five siblings and their spouses, Antone Black Jr., Priscille and Kevin Brogden, Lakisha (Steele) Boston, Nicole Black and Monique and William Redding; a "special" uncle, Wilbert Clark; a devoted spiritual brother Eric Thornton; and a host of uncles, aunts, nieces, nephews, cousins and friends.

Services will be 1 p.m. Saturday in Potters House Ministries, 8814 Fairlee Road, Chestertown, where friends may call two hours earlier.

Burial will be in Joshua Chapel, Morganec, Md.

Arrangements by Bennie Smith Funeral Home, Chestertown.
