BARCLAY, Md. - Robin Denise (Murphy) Wallace, of Barclay, died at home on Sunday, March 6, 2011, surrounded by her family and closest friends. She was 51. Robin, the daughter of Francis and Shirley Murphy, was born on Dec. 21, 1959, in Baltimore. Mrs. Wallace was a graduate of Andover High School in Linthicum, Md. 23 years ago, Robin moved to the Eastern Shore to raise her family in a country setting. Her family became active in the Pony Express 4-H club where she was a co-leader, Robin started riding horses at the age of twelve, and further blessed her daughters with those skills to achieve as equestrians. Robin loved Trail riding, Funday's, Leading the Vaulting team and volunteering in general. Robin's other love was dancing, from age 3 she possessed a drive and passion that allowed her to open her own very successful Studio, "Robin's School of Dance" in Sudlersville, Md., in 1996, which moved to Barclay in 2005. Robin had a great heart and opened it to all her students, family and friends every moment she had the chance. She is survived by her parents of Pasadena, Md.; her husband, William Wallace and their 10 year old son, Troy Lane Wallace of Barclay; her daughters, Erin (Gearhart) Jones, husband Jimmy and their daughter, Brynlee of Marydel, Md., Jenna (Gearhart) Reece, husband Joshua and their son Kieran, of Marydel, Del.; step children, Carrie L. Wallace and her daughter Alysa of Barclay, Jessica Wallace of Millington, Md., Shane Wallace of Sudlersville, Md., David Wallace of Millington, Md.; her sister, Dina Wingate, her husband Tom and their two vhildren Tommy and David; and her great-grandmother, Marie Murphy of Baltimore. A visitation will be held Thursday evening, March 10, 2010, from 6 to 9 p.m. and Friday March 11, from 2 to 4 p.m. at Fellows, Helfenbein and Newnam Funeral home; 130 Speer Road, Chestertown.
