Roberta Adeline Jackson Leggett, 95

GREENSBORO, Md. - Roberta Adeline Jackson Leggett, of Greensboro, died Sunday, June 1, 2008. She was 95.

She was born on Feb. 4, 1913, in Greensboro to the late Robert and Addie Cohee Jackson.

Mrs. Leggett was a graduate of Greensboro High School.

She was a secretary for the former Pet Milk Co. of Greensboro.

After the closing of Pet Milk, she went on to be the secretary for the Peabody Conservatory.

Mrs. Leggett was a member of the Daughters of the American Revolution and the St. Paul's United Methodist Church of Greensboro.

She loved gardening, wildlife, and Caroline County history.

Mrs. Leggett also enjoyed music and traveling with her husband, Carmen.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, William Carmen Leggett; and her beloved dog, Ariel.

She is survived by her beloved friends, Cassandra and Dennis Harding, Jeanne Meyers, Jack Cummings, Carolyn Butler and Billy Brittingham.

Services will be 2 p.m. Wednesday in the Fleegle and Helfenbein Funeral Home, 106 W. Sunset Ave., Greensboro, where friends may call one hour prior.

Interment will be in Greensboro Cemetery, Greensboro.
