ROCK HALL, Md. - Robert Owen Parry of Rock Hall died Saturday, Dec. 16, 2006, in the Chestertown Nursing and Rehabilitation Center. He was 84.
Mr. Parry was born Aug. 14, 1922, in Philadelphia, son of the late Lewis Casper and Ethel (Williams) Parry.
He served his country in the U.S. Army during World War II.
He worked as a construction superintendent for several companies, with his last being I.M.C. Construction of Malvern, Pa.
Mr. Parry enjoyed fishing, crabbing, gardening and traveling.
In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by a daughter, Ruth Elaine Parry, in 1995.
He is survived by his wife of over 55 years, Margaret Parry of Rock Hall; two sons, Jim Parry of Hayes, Va., and Scott Parry of West Chester, Pa.; a brother, Charles Thomas Parry of Rock Hall; two sisters, Helen Peifer of Upper Darby, Pa., and Peg Cardall of Orlando, Fla.; four grandchildren, Melissa Johnson and Heather Smith, both of Gloucester, Va., and Abby Parry and Chene Parry, both of West Chester; and three great-grandchildren.
Military services will be held at a later date.
Arrangements by Fellows, Helfenbein and Newnam Funeral Home, Chestertown.
