Robert Leonard French
Robert Leonard French passed away on November 29th at Evergreen Hospital in Kirkland, Washington after a short battle with cancer. He was born on August 6th, 1939, the son of the late Octavia and Leonard French of Milford, Delaware.
Robert was a graduate of the Milford High School class of '57, and he remained close to many of his classmates over the years as he moved around the country and the world with his long career with Shaw industries as a contract administrator.
He will be remembered by many as a devoted son, husband, father, brother, grandfather, and most importantly to all that knew him, a friend. He was preceded in death by his wife of 52 years, Katherine, in 2015. He is survived by his son, Keith French; daughter-in-law, Toni Saddler-French; grandson, Daniel French; sister, Linda Kuhling; and many cousins, nieces, and nephews.
The family plans to hold a memorial service next year in Delaware to allow the people that were so special to him to celebrate his memory. Bob dearly loved the many dogs he owned over the years, and the family would appreciate any donations be made to the Delaware SPCA, or your local SPCA, in his honor.
