Robert Lee Jenkins, 66

SALISBURY, Md. - Robert Lee Jenkins, of Salisbury, died Tuesday, May 20, 2008, at Peninsula Regional Medical Center, Salisbury. He was 66.

Born in Seaford, Del., he was the son of Ida Mae Jenkins of Seaford and the late Charles Jenkins Sr.

He was a graduate of the former William C. Jason High School, Georgetown, Del., and attended the former Delaware Technical School, now Delaware Technical & Community College, Georgetown.

He was employed as a construction leader with Chesapeake Utilities Corp. for 22 years, retiring in May 2002.

Before his illness, he attended New Dimensions Church, Salisbury.

Besides his mother, his survivors include his devoted wife, Lizzie Joyner-Jenkins; three daughters: Roberta (Darrell) Jenkins-Postley of Seaford, and Linda Jenkins and Melissa (Clydus) Evans, all of Bridgeville, Del.; a stepson, Anthony Edmund of Atlanta; six grandchildren; 10 great-grandchildren; one brother and three sisters, Linwood (Francine) Jenkins and Myrtle Jenkins, all of Seaford, Frankie (Tyrone) Griffin of Bridgeville and Beatrice (Stanley) Jones of Greenwood; and a host of nieces and nephews.

A brother, Charles Jenkins Jr., preceded him in death.

A funeral service will be 1 p.m., Wednesday at Clarence Street Church of God, Seaford, where friends may call two hours prior to service.

Interment will be in the Odd Fellows Cemetery, Seaford.

Funeral services are entrusted to Jolley Memorial Chapel of Salisbury.
