MAGNOLIA - Robert L. "Bud" Faircloth passed away, Friday, June 30, 2023 at home.
Mr. Faircloth was born August 14, 1937 in Lillington, North Carolina to the late Marvin M. Faircloth and Mary Howard Faircloth.
He served in the United States Army. After the military he owned and operated Bud & Sandy's Bait & Tackle shop for 23 years, retiring in 2000. Mr. Faircloth was a member of Capitol "X" Bassmaster and represented Delaware in fishing tournaments, as well as an annual sponsor for Camp Lenape fishing trips. He was a member of the Orchard Magnolia Church.
In addition to his parents; he was preceded in death by his first wife, Sandy Faircloth; brothers, Cecil, Marty and David Faircloth.
He is survived by his wife of 22 years, Catherine "Kay" Krause Faircloth of Magnolia; daughter, Dawn Marie Flora of Bridgewater, VA; sons, Robert Faircloth, Jr. and his wife Roberta of Dover, Douglas Wayne Faircloth and his wife Kathleen of Maryville, TN; stepsons, Michael Lewis McClannan and his wife Stephanie of Loganville, GA and Richard Allen McClannan and his wife Melanie of Tampa, FL; sister, Magdeline Booth; thirteen grandchildren and eight great grandchildren.
Funeral services will be held 7PM, Thursday, July 6, 2023 at Torbert Funeral Chapel South, 1145 E. Lebanon Road (Rt.10), Dover. Friends may visit one hour prior. Interment will be in Odd Fellows Cemetery, Camden.
In lieu of flowers the family suggests contributions be made to Kamp Lenape, 301 N. Rehoboth Boulevard, Milford, DE 19963.
