On Wednesday, June 15, 2022, Robert Jerome Connell, Jr. passed away at home. Robert was born October 1, 1941 to Ellen Gicker and Robert J. Connell, Sr.
He grew up on a farm in Kirkwood, Delaware, and attended Commodore McDonald Grade School and Middletown High School. During High School he joined the National Guard for 6 years, while also beginning Dairy Farming. Later he farmed in Kenton, Del. the rest of his life.
Robert was preceded in death by his father and mother. He is survived by his sister, Marguerite, her four children, and several cousins.
A funeral service will be held on Wednesday, June 22, 2022 at Faries Funeral Home, 29 S. Main Street, Smyrna, Del. The viewing is at 11 a.m. with services at 12 o'clock and after the services, burial is at St. Georges Cemetery, St. Georges, Del.
