NORTH CAROLINA - Robert James Boc, age 44, of Chapel Hill, N.C., formerly of Bear, Del., passed away suddenly from heart complications on Thursday, Aug. 18, 2011, at Christiana Hospital comforted by his wife. He was born in Wilmington, Del., on August 25, 1966, devoted husband of Janice and father of Kristen & Jason. A graduate of Delcastle Technical High School, he worked at Nucar for 22 years and Delaware Equipment Rental. Rob was an avid Philadelphia Sports fan who enjoyed playing many sports and coaching for Canal Little League. He enjoyed his summers at the beach with his family and friends where he spent his days playing volleyball and fishing. He was predeceased in death by his father, John W Boc Sr. He is survived by his wife, Janice (Eckbold) Boc; daughter, Kristen; and son, Jason; mother, Sylvia Boc; mother and father-in-law, Roy and Elaine Eckbold; brothers, John Jr. (Mille), Michael, Thomas (Tammy); sisters: Donna M. Jubb (Ray), Deborah Grohol (Dave), and 15 nieces and nephews. We are so grateful for the time we shared, and now in our hearts and lives forever. We will miss him. Visitation will be 5 to 8 p.m., Tuesday, Aug. 23, 2011, at the Doherty Funeral Home, 3200 Limestone Road, Pike Creek. Mass of Christian Burial will be 10 a.m., Wednesday, Aug. 24, 2011, at St. Hedwig's Church, 408 S. Harrison Street, Wilmington. Burial will follow in All Saints Cemetery.
