Robert Howard McAllister, 71
MILFORD - Robert Howard McAllister of Milford died Saturday, Feb. 17, 2007, in Bayhealth-Kent General Hospital, Dover. He was 71.
Mr. McAllister was born April 13, 1935, in Salem, N.J., son of the late Pearl K. and Harry G. McAllister.
He was a repairman for Diamond State Telephone, retiring in 1988.
Mr. McAllister was a veteran of the U.S. Army.
He served as a free mason at the Masonic Lodge in Dover. He was active in the AA for 23 years.
Mr. McAllister enjoyed fishing.
He is survived by three daughters, Katherine L. Hurley of Felton, Kimberly D. Mavila of Newburgh, N.Y. and Holly A. Pratt of Chesapeake, Va.; his ex-wife, Virginia D. McAllister; a brother and his wife, David E. and Lynne McAllister of Ocean Pines, Md.; grandchildren, Logan S. Hurley, Sarah M. Mavila, Shana L. Mavila and Cassidy A. Pratt; and close friends, Chuck Thompson, Robert Gruber and John Kinnikin.
Services will be 1 p.m. Thursday in Berry-Short Funeral Home, Main Street, Felton, where friends may call one hour earlier.
