CLAYTON - Robert E. "General" Lee, Sr., went home to be with the Lord on Sunday, Mar. 19, 2017.
General worked for over 20 years in the Oil Refining Industry. Coach Lee devoted many years to the Smyrna-Clayton Little League and Little Wrestlers.
He is survived by his wife of 31 years, Karen; three children, Ashley (Jihed) Abadlia, Robert Jr. (Susie) Lee and Joshua Lee; four grandchildren, who were his whole heart, Aaron, Sayed, Safiya and Kais; his mother-in-law, Ann Smith; his siblings, Ellen Conley, Jeff Lee and Peggy Conley; and a large loving extended family.
A viewing will be held 7 to 9 p.m., Thursday, Mar. 23, 2017, in the Faries Funeral Chapel, located at 29 S. Main Street in Smyrna. Funeral services will begin 2 p.m., Friday, Mar. 24, 2017, with a viewing one hour prior at 1 p.m. Burial will follow at Glenwood Cemetery in Smyrna.
In lieu of flowers, contributions to defray funeral expenses may be sent to Full Gospel Church, PO Box 587, Clayton, DE 19938.
