Robert 'Bob' E. Kerly, 53 DOVER - Robert 'Bob' E. Kerly, died Monday, July 20, 2009, at home. He was 53. Mr. Kerly was born July 9, 1956 in Rantoul, Illinois on Chanute Air Force Base to Edward R. Kerly and Marilyn L. Counterman Kerly. He had worked for the Capitol School District in their Media Lab as a Photographer and then worked for 20 years for Comcast in video productions, graphics, and animations. Mr. Kerly was a bass player and played in several bands, "OldScool" and "Double Duce" to mention a few but mostly recently he would freelance with different bands at a moment's notice. Mr. Kerly is survived by his parents, Edward and Marilyn Kerly of Bradenton, Fla.; two brothers, Philip J. Kerly of Chandler, Ariz., Gary Kerly and his wife Beth (Dean) Kerly of Tampa, Fla; and one niece, Emma Lucile Kerly. Memorial services will be held 3 p.m. Saturday July 25, 2009 at Torbert Funeral Chapel, 61 S. Bradford Street, Dover. Friends may call one hour prior. In lieu of flowers, the family suggests contributions be made to VH1 Save the Music Foundation, Attention: Deniece Dykes, VH1 Save The Music Foundation, 1515 Broadway, 20th Floor New York, NY 10036. Checks maybe made payable to "VH1 Save The Music Foundation", or donate online at http://www.vh1savethemusic.com/donation.
