DOVER - Robert DePue passed away on September 7, 2022.
Bob was born May 21, 1952, in Akron, Ohio, to the late Lewis E and Marian M DePue.
The DePue Family moved to Delaware in 1967. Lewis DePue worked at ILC Industries making space suits for the Apollo space missions and Marian DePue taught Dover High School.
Bob graduated from Caesar Rodney class of 1970 and attended training at Kent and Sussex Industries. He was employed by the City of Dover for 35 years, including 10 years at the Dover Library. Bob's true loves were his dogs, bowling, blues music, Capriotti's, and Honey Nut Cheerios, Little Rascals, Looney Tunes, and Maxwell House Coffee.
Bob is survived by his siblings Jeanne Hutchings (Joseph) of Midlothian, VA, Cynthia DePue of Wilmington, DE, Scot DePue, MD, (Kristen) of Wyomissing, PA; his nephews, Matthew Hutchings (Carol) of Midlothian, VA, Andrew Hutchings of Midlothian, VA, Chase DePue of Wyomissing, PA, and Chet DePue; his great niece, Sienna Hutchings; his great nephew, Maddox Hutchings, and his cousin, Paul Turner (Barbara) of Rancho Mirage, CA.
Memorial services will be held 1:00 p.m., Saturday, September 24, 2022, at Torbert Funeral Chapel, 1145 E. Lebanon Road, Dover, Delaware. Friends may visit one hour prior.
In lieu of flowers, the family suggests contributions be made their Charity of Choice.
