Rita L. Giovagnoni, 92

DOVER - Rita L. Giovagnoni, of Dover, died Monday, June 16, 2008, in Milford Memorial Hospital. She was 92.

Born in New York, she was the daughter of the late John Rolleri and Catherine Soprani.

Mrs. Giovagnoni had lived in New York until moving to Dover in 1986.

She had been a faithful member of Holy Cross Church in Dover and was one who enjoyed the time spent with her children and grandchildren.

In her quieter moments she enjoyed board games and sightseeing.

Mrs. Giovagnoni was a kind and gentle person who will be missed by those who knew and loved her.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband of 55 years, John Giovagnoni, who died in 1996.

Mrs. Giovagnoni is survived by her three children, Robert E. Giovagnoni of Arnold, Md., Kathleen M. Stieglitz of Annandale, Va., and Eileen G. Morris of Glendale, Ariz.; and five grandchildren, Christopher Giovagnoni, Troy Laffey, Valerie Bortz, John Giovagnoni, and Jessica Morris.

Friends may call from 6-8 p.m. Sunday in the Funeral Home of Michael J. Ambruso, 1175 S. State St., Dover.

A Mass of Christian Burial will be offered at 9 a.m. Monday in Holy Cross Church, S. State Street, Dover. Burial will be 11 a.m. Monday in the Delaware Veterans Memorial Cemetery, Bear.

Family suggests donations in her memory to Mom's House, 864 S. State Street, Dover, DE 19901.
