DOVER - Rita J. Cmar Kulczycki, of Dover, died Thursday, March 5, 2009. She was 62. Born in McKeesport, Pa., she was the daughter of the late Joseph G. Cmar and Angela P. Wozniak Cmar of McKeesport. She was a graduate of Penn State University and had served her Student Teacher training in Western Penna. prior to moving to Dover in the early 70's. Rita was employed by the CR School District as an elementary school teacher at the Dover Air Force Base until her retirement. To the many neighborhood children she was known as "Aunt Rita." She enjoyed music, needlepoint, restaurants, and was an avid Nitany Lions Fan. She also enjoyed shopping and was especially fond of the moments spent at the Dover Modern Maturity Center where she had a group of luncheon friends who would linger at the Center into the late afternoon. Besides her mother, Rita is survived by her sister, Carole P. Maximo and spouse Dr. Venerando J. Maximo of Dover; a brother, Robert J Cmar of McKeesport; her beloved nieces and nephew, Patricia A. Zeisset and spouse Dale of Dover, Vincent Maximo and spouse Julia of Wilmington, Victoria Smith and spouse Rodger of Wilmington, and Angela Harvey and spouse Charles of Wilmington; and great-nieces and nephews, Jordan and Christopher Maximo of Dover, Julia, Allison, and Caitlin Smith of Wilmington, and Tess Harvey of Wilmington; along with many aunts uncles and cousins Friends are invited to a Mass of Christian Burial at 11 a.m. Saturday, March 14, at Holy Cross Catholic Church, Dover. Donations in her memory can be made to the Dover Modern Maturity Center, 1121 Forrest Ave., Dover, DE 19904; or to Holy Cross Church, 631 S. State St., Dover, DE 19901. Arrangements are by Michael J. Ambruso Funeral Director, Inc., Dover.
