LAUREL - Richard Morris, Sr. passed away on December 24, 2020 at Tidal Health Nanticoke in Seaford, Delaware.
Born on August 4, 1947 in Milford, Delaware, he is the son of the late Reuben Thomas Morris and Grace Helen Elliott Morris.
Richard was retired from the DuPont Company with over 36 years of service and was a local grain and poultry farmer. He was a member of the Farm Bureau, Delmarva Poultry Industry, and the Laurel Alumni Association. Richard enjoyed his daily fellowship with his friends at the Laurel Truck Stop and his most favorite past-time was spending time with his family and grandchildren.
He is survived by his loving wife of over 51 years, Joyce Collins Morris; son, Richard "Ricky" Morris, Jr. and his wife Laurie; daughters, Stacey Bragg, and Valerie Oliphant and her husband Mark; grandchildren, Olivia, Gabrielle, Chloe, R.J., Grace, Beau, and Mya all of Laurel. Sister, Ruth Davis and her husband Jim of Georgetown; and several nieces and nephews also survive him.
Richard was preceded in death by brothers, Norman, Jack, Dickie; and sister, Betty Passwater.
A private graveside service will be held at Asbury United Methodist Church Cemetery in Georgetown. Pastor Kevin Wells will officiate.

Arrangements are in the care of the Hannigan, Short, Disharoon Funeral Home in Laurel, Delaware.
