Richard A. 'Dick' Kelly MILLSBORO - Richard A. "Dick" Kelly, formerly of Malvern, Pa., passed peacefully surrounded by his loved ones on Sunday, July 11, 2010, at the Delaware Hospice Center. He is survived by his loving wife, Elizabeth "Libby" of 18 years; and his five children, Patricia Kelly of Malvern, Edward Kelly (Karen) of Essington, Richard Kelly Jr. of Malvern, Michael Kelly of Malvern, and Naomi Hersh (Bryon) of Spring City. His greatest gift were his grandchildren, Dylan Kelly of Malvern, Michael Kelly of Glenmoore, Sterling Kelly of Malvern, Stephen Brown of Malvern, and Megan Kelly of Glenmoore. He was preceded in death by his granddaughter, Ashly E. Brown of Malvern. As a young man Dick served in the US Navy during WWII, aboard the USS Valley Forge and USS Tarawa. Dick was a Diesel Mechanic receiving his Certificate from Ford Motor Company in 1960, held an Executive Position for the Teamster's Local 312 in Chester, Pa., until his retirement in 1986. After his retirement Dick was employed by Oyster Bay Bait and Tackle to support his fishing passion which he shared with his children, grandchildren and his wife. He was well known as the "Old man of the Sea." A memorial service in his honor will be 1 p.m., Monday, July 19, 2010, in the Chapel of the Delaware Veteran's Memorial Cemetery, Millsboro. Interment will be private. In lieu of flowers, please make memorial contributions to: Delaware Hospice Center, 100 Patriots Way, Milford, DE 19963.
