REHOBOTH BEACH — The Rehoboth Beach Writers Guild is offering several writing classes starting in January 2023, all with the goal of encouraging those who may have dreamed of writing creatively to take the first step.
Offerings include the two-week writing challenge, “This is the Year I Will Write”; the five-week “Overcoming the Fear of Writing Memoir”; “Self-Publishing 101”; and “The Buffet of Poetry Possibilities,” which allows participants to choose what they’d like to learn in their individualized poetry tutorial.
The guild is also hosting “Graduate School in a Box” (or the essentials of fiction writing), as well as “An Insider’s Guide to Getting Published: What Every Writer Needs to Know About Self-Publishing and/or Book Cover Design” and a two-week Zoom course, “Your Story to Tell: Writing Your Own Obituary.”
Most of the classes are online tutorials, during which attendees work one-on-one with an instructor who provides encouragement and suggestions. In-person and Zoom classes are available, as well.
The instructors are published and professional writers, award winners and/or teachers with decades of experience.
Registration will be ongoing until the classes fill.
