Regina V. Warner Sampson, 65
DOVER - Regina V. Warner Sampson, of Dover, departed this life on Friday, Feb. 8, 2008, in Wilmington Hospital. She was 65.
She was the fourth child born to the late Linwood and Ida Bell Warner on Sept. 13, 1942, in Greensboro, Md.
Regina, affectionately known as "It," was educated by Caroline County Schools and graduated from Lockerman High School in 1961.
In 1963, Regina and the late Calvin Leon Sampson united in Holy Matrimony and were blessed with the birth of their only son, Calvin Maurice Sampson.
The family subsequently moved to Mt. Vernon, N.Y., and Regina began working in the field of retail management at Alexander's department stores in White Plains, N.Y.
Regina's retail career spanned nearly 40 years and included various management courses in retail management until 2003 when she retired and moved to Dover to attend to the medical needs of her husband.
She was an associate member of Grace Baptist Church in Mount Vernon.
Spiritual in nature and kind with words, Regina always gave of her heart as well as her mind. She is now in heaven with her husband, Calvin L. Sampson.
Regina was a giving and affectionate person who gave her heart in everything she did.
The true meaning of life for her was to give and not expect to receive.
Life with her was full of laughter and kind words and her ebullient personality attracted many friends whom loved her. Among her many things to do she enjoyed going to casinos and having various conversations on the telephone.
She leaves to cherish her memories, her son, Calvin M. Sampson of Oak Creek, Wis.; three brothers, Harrison and his wife Catherine Warner of Pittsburgh, Robert Warner of Dover, and Roy Lee (Catherine) Warner of Harrington; three sisters, Betty Lee and her husband Jake Avery of Dover, Diane and her husband Walter Burgess of Richmond, Va., and Beverly Warner of Greensboro, Md.; in-laws, Edward (Lucretia) Sampson of Preston, Md., Donald and his wife Anna Sampson of Bowie, Md., Otis and his wife Debra Sampson of Easton, Md., Gordon and his wife Joyce Sampson of Upper Marlboro, Md., and Shirley Brooks of Easton, Md.; and a host of nieces, nephews, cousins and friends.
Services will be 1 p.m. Saturday in International House of Worship, 403 Hollyday St., Easton, where friends may view two hours prior.
