Reba Ostroski, 90

MILFORD - Reba Ostroski, of Milford, passed away after a long battle with cancer on Tuesday, Oct. 28, 2008, in her home surrounded by her family. She was 90. Mrs. Ostroski was born on April 23, 1918, in Eastport, Maine, daughter of the late David and Anna (Hunter) Laskey. She was a waitress most of her life, working in various restaurants in Pennsylvania and in Milford, until she retired. Reba enjoyed crocheting and plastic canvas work and loved the simple pleasure of getting out of the house with her husband to take a ride in the car. She loved everyone and was a very sweet and caring person to all she came in contact with. She will be greatly missed by family and friends. Mrs. Ostroski was a member of the First Presbyterian Church in Milford. She is survived by her husband of 67 years, Andrew J. Ostroski Sr.; a son and daughter-in-law, Andrew J. Jr. and Sharon R. Ostroski of Lewes; two grandsons; Andrew J. Ostroski III and his wife Janell S. of Newark and Mark Ostroski and his wife Loretta B. of Lewes; four great-grandchildren, Sydney R. Ostroski, Audrey J. Ostroski, Jackson T. Ostroski and Jacob A. Ostroski; and three nieces, Reba Durham of Milford, Florence Lorenz of Norton, Pa. and Ruth Furris of Winter Haven, Fla. Services were held at 11 a.m. on Friday, Oct. 31, 2008, at Rogers Funeral Home, 301 Lakeview Avenue, Milford. Burial will be held in Henlopen Memorial Park, Milton. The family wishes to thank the Delaware Hospice for taking such loving care and to the compassionate individuals that are part of that organization. In lieu of flowers, the family has requested memorial contributions to Delaware Hospice, Lotus Plaza, 911 S. DuPont Hwy., Dover, DE, 19901 or to the First Presbyterian Church, P.O. Box 172, Milford, DE, 19963. Condolences may be emailed at www.delmarvaobits.com/rogers.
