Raymond N. Sherman Sr.

LAUREL - Raymond N. Sherman Sr., of Laurel, died Sunday, Jan. 9, 2011, at Coastal Hospice at the Lake in Salisbury, Md. He was 67. Raymond was born March 16, 1943 in Buffalo, N.Y., to the late Raymond and Esther Miller Sherman. He worked for Fitzgerald's in Lincoln, Donovan's in Georgetown, and West Side in Laurel. Raymond was a member of the Harrington Moose Lodge #534. He enjoyed traveling, riding his Harley, participating in bike rallies to raise money for MDA, NASCAR and auto racing, and spending time with his friends and family. Besides his parents, he was preceded in death by four siblings, Betty Keel, Roger Sherman, Vivian Messick and Amy Minton. He is survived by two children, Raymond N. Sherman Jr. of Houston and Sheila Sherman of Milford; four grandchildren, Justin and Josh Sherman and Tia and Ty Sherman; five siblings, Richard Hayes of Milford, Robert Hayes of Pennsylvania, Harriett Shoendorf of Louisiana, Marion Hudgins of Louisiana, and Millie Sherman of Seaford. A Memorial Luncheon Service will be held on Sunday, Jan. 23, 2011, from 1 to 4 p.m. at the Harrington Moose Lodge #534. Friends and family may bring their remembrances, photos, and a covered dish to share. Arrangements by Fleischauer Funeral Home.
