REHOBOTH BEACH -- Raymond G. Harp, Jr. affectionately known as "Buggs" passed away peacefully Oct. 9th, 2014 after a very courageous battle with cancer. Raymond was born Aug. 20th, 1955 in Pottstown, Pa., to the late Raymond G. Harp, Sr. and Mary Lee (Eagle) Harp. Raymond was a very talented artist and was also a drummer in a band during High School. Soon after graduating, he moved to Rehoboth Beach after vacationing to the area since he was young. He was self-employed and owned Three B's Painting and Contracting for over 30 years. Raymond was a past Master Mason of the Endeavor Lodge 17 A.F. and F.M., and a member of the Lewes Elks Lodge. Raymond enjoyed many things, but mostly enjoyed spending time with his grandchildren. They absolutely adored him and enjoyed having their weekly play dates. When he wasn't with family, his other activities included fishing, hunting and riding on his speed boat, Heaven's Devil. He loved anything fast and loud. Raymond is survived by his sons, Raymond G. Harp, III and his wife Courtney, of Lincoln, Jonathan and his wife Katie, of Milton; grandchildren, Avery, Grayson, Morgan, Dylan and William; one sister, Sandy Levengood of Pottstown, Pa.; niece, Tara Cusick; nephew, Sean Levengood, and their families, of Pottstown, Pa.; fiancé, Kathy Willey of Milton; Kathy's children, Chris Willey and wife Stephanie, Laura Brittingham; and Kathy's grandchildren, Ticen, Tobin, Sydney and Sadie. A funeral service will be held Tuesday, Oct. 14, 2014 at 1:00 p.m. in the chapel of Short Funeral Services, 416 Federal Street, Milton, DE 19968 where friends may call after 11 a.m. Interment will follow at St. Peter's Cemetery in Lewes. In lieu of flowers, contributions in Raymond's memory can be made to Endeavor Lodge 17, 201 Mill Street, Milton, DE 19968 or Delaware Hospice, 100 Patriots Way, Milford, DE 19963.
