Reed 'Mike' , 64 Wyoming - Ralph Michael Reed "Mike" passed away Wednesday, Jan. 21, 2015 at Kent General Hospital. Mr. Reed was born July 27, 1950 in Dover, Del. to the late Russell T. Reed and Margaret E. Lane Reed. He served in the United States Army for 2 years during the Vietnam War. Mr. Reed worked at R&R Used Cars with his father, working on and selling cars. He then worked for the Department of Agriculture as a mechanic before going to work for the Department of Transportation retiring in 2006 after 17 years. Mr. Reed enjoyed collecting classic cars, working on them and attending car shows. He also enjoyed watching war movies as well as NASCAR and was a fan of Dale Earnhardt, Sr. and Jimmie Johnson. He was a loyal member of the Camden-Wyoming Moose Lodge, Post #203, and "a member for life" of the blood bank of Delmarva. In addition to his parents he was preceded in death by a sister, Linda Barnett in 2004. He is survived by his daughters, Loree Keeler wife of John Keeler, Carrie Reed of Wyoming, Del.; brothers, Larry Reed and his wife, Ethel of Dover, Richard Reed and his wife Sondra of Hazlettville, Del.; Steven Reed and his wife Linda of Brookhaven Pa,; his brother in law, Rick Barnett of Wyoming, Del.; his four grandchildren; numerous nieces and nephews, and his long standing companion Violet Schafer of Leipsic. He will be sadly missed by all, and never forgotten. Funeral services will be held 2PM, Wednesday, Jan. 28, 2015 at Torbert Funeral Chapel South, 1145 E. Lebanon Road (Rt.10), Dover. Friends may call Tuesday evening from 6 to 8. Interment will be in Sharon Hills Memorial Park. Letters of condolences may be sent and guest book signed at www.torbertfuneral.com.
