Ralph David Tucker Sr.

CHINCOTEAGUE, Va. - Ralph David Tucker Sr., of Chincoteague, formerly of Harrington, Del., died Saturday, Dec. 18, 2010, at his home. He was 67. Ralph was born Jan. 15, 1943, in Wilmington, to Ralph B. and Irene Jones Tucker. He was a member of the New Castle National Guard unit and he belonged to Moose Lodge #1578 in New Castle. Ralph was a truck driver for Parker's Express in Wilmington for 15 years. He enjoyed going fishing, family dinners, and flea markets. Besides his parents, he was preceded in death by his wife, Scarlett Yon Tucker; a brother, Earl; and a sister, Irene Collins. He is survived by his wife, Wanda; children and spouses, Ralph D. and Patricia Tucker Jr. of Harrington, Barbara and Adrian Lipscomb of Milford, Jennifer and Brian Putz of Georgetown, Mary Ann and Billy Draper of Felton, Irene and Maurice Tingle of Dover, and Kim Sapp of Ocala, Fla.; a stepson, Edward Denning of Harrington; 13 grandchildren, 12 great-grandchildren; a brother, Archie Tucker of Marydel; two sisters, Ethel Evans of Marydel, Joanne Hammond of Millsboro; and two half sisters, Ruth Burns of Camden and Donna Weikel of New Castle. Viewing will be from 6 to 8 p.m., Wednesday, Dec. 22, 2010, at Fleischauer Funeral Home, 16 W. Market St., Greenwood. Funeral services and interment will be 11 a.m., Thursday, Dec. 23, 2010, with a viewing one hour prior at Gracelawn Memorial Park Chapel in New Castle.
