Rachel 'Mom Bootsie' L. Johnson, 77

TOWNSEND - Rachel "Mom Bootsie" L. Johnson of Townsend passed away Wednesday, Nov. 7, 2007, surrounded by family at Bayhealth-Kent General Hospital, Dover. She was 77.

Mom Bootsie was born in Chester, Pa.

She moved to Delaware and was employed at Delaware Hospital for the Chronically Ill for 41 years.

She is survived by her devoted daughter, Rochelle Townsend and son Tyrone Johnson; two sons, Wayne and Larry Johnson; two brothers, Theodore and James Meade; a sister, Harriet Brown; and the family extends their sincere thanks to Delaware Hospice, family and friends.

Going home services will be 1 p.m. Saturday in Lee Haven United Methodist Church, 413 Blackbird Landing, Townsend, where a visitation will be two hours prior..

Ushers ritual will be noon.

Interment will be at Pine Tree Cemetery.
