R. Carroll Hurley, 63
ST. MICHAELS, Md. - R. Carroll Hurley, of St. Michaels, died Sunday, Dec. 30, 2007, in the Memorial Hospital at Easton. He was 63.
Born in Cambridge, Mr. Hurley was the son of the late Alfred Goldsborough Hurley and Mary Edna Bradley Hurley.
He moved to St. Michaels in 1967 and was a funeral director with the Harrison Leonard Funeral Home, later to become the R. Carroll Hurley Funeral Home, in St. Michaels.
Mr. Hurley was Past Master of the Granite Lodge 177 AF&AM in St. Michaels.
In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his son, Timothy M. Hurley; and a brother, Emerson Hurley.
Mr. Hurley is survived by his wife, Linda Shortall Hurley of St. Michaels; one daughter, Kellee Lindsay and her husband Rusty of Belcamp; two grandchildren, Katelin and Ashley; and two sisters, Lois Lord of Seaford, Del., and Janet Messick of Laurel, Del.; and one brother, Goldsborough Hurley, of Columbia, S.C.
A graveside service will be 2 p.m. Wednesday in the Olivet Cemetery, St. Michaels.
The family requests no flowers and suggests sending memorial donations to the Talbot Hospice Foundation, 586 Cynwood Drive, Easton, MD 21601.
