BOWIE, Md. - Philomena Sette Brillante, of Bowie, formerly of Rehoboth Beach, Del., passed away Saturday, Nov. 22, 2008, in Doctor's Community Hospital, Lanham. She was 89. Mrs. Brillante was born June 6, 1919, in Renovo, Pa., daughter of the late Domenick and Julia (DelPozzo) Sette. Mrs. Brillante enjoyed a 15 year career with Ford Motor Company as a bookkeeper. She relocated to Rehoboth Beach, Del., in 1979, where she became an active member of St. Edmond's Catholic Church. She also was a member of the Blessed Virgin Mary Sodality, the Church Choir, Ladies of the Elks, Ladies Lioness, VIA, and the Henlopen Senior Center. She was a devoted wife, mother and grandmother. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Robert L Brillante (1996); five brothers, James, Francis, Ralph, Joseph and John Sette; and her sisters, Margaret Sabatini and Mary Keefer. She is survived by two sons, Robert P. Brillante and his wife Joy of Bowie, and Francis X. Brillante and his fiancee Andrea of College Park; three granddaughters; two great-grandchildren; and a sister, Theresa Tumini of Rehoboth Beach, Del. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated 11 a.m. Tuesday at St. Edmond's Catholic Church, King Charles & Laurel Streets, Rehoboth Beach, Del., with Father Raymond Forrester presiding. Friends may call at the church beginning at 10 a.m. Burial will follow at Henlopen Memorial Park, Milton, Del. In addition, a Memorial Service will be held Saturday, Dec. 13, at 10:30 a.m. at St. Barnabas' Church, 14111 Oak Grove Road, Upper Marlboro.
