Hammond, 66 Phillis Parsons Hammond passed away peacefully on March 3, 2014. Mrs. Hammond was born on Oct. 5, 1947 to the late Paul and Elma (Short) Parsons. She graduated from Milton High School and loved crafts, going to the beach and spending time with her grandchildren. She was a loving mother, sister, grandmother, and friend to many. In addition to her parents she was preceded in death by her brother, Wayne Parsons; niece, Tammy Parsons; and sister-in-law, Patricia Parsons. She is survived by her husband, Edward Hammond; children Paula K. Dill , Thomas P. Parsons Amanda K. Hammond; grandchildren Jordan Dill, Derek Dill, Austin Dill, Lindsey Dill, Thomas Parsons Jr, Noah Parsons, Josephs Parsons, Andrew Hammond, Alexander Hammond; five brothers and sisters; seven nieces and nephews.. A memorial service will be held Friday, March 7, 2014 at 6 p.m. in the chapel of Berry-Short Funeral Home 119 NW Front St., Milford, DE.
